It started when I was seven years old, sitting cross-legged in front of my dad's Atari. That chunky joystick, those pixelated graphics, the beeps and boops—it was magic. Then we finally got a Nintendo, and when that gun controller for Duck Hunt showed up? Game over. I was hooked.

Every Christmas, I'd wait to see if I got the new console. I'd camp outside stores for Halo releases. Gaming wasn't just a hobby—it was everything.
